I’ll Just Leave This Here of the Day: On the Australian television program The Gruen Transfer there is a regular segment called “The Pitch” in which two advertising companies are tasked with “sell[ing] the unsellable.”

Among past pitches: “[I]nvading New Zealand, compulsory euthanasia for the elderly, cosmetic surgery for children and introducing a parent licence.”

For the show’s most recent episode, the ad agencies were asked to create a marketing campaign for the banning of all religion.

It was the first time in the show’s history that ad agencies declined to participate.

They won’t touch religion but were completely fine with selling compulsory euthanasia for the elderly?  Hmm.  Maybe its just me but every other one of the things mentioned sounds more horrible than banning religion.
